Are you into outdoor summer concerts but not into the crazy antics of festivals like Summercamp, Lollapalooza and North Coast?

Well, you’re in luck. You can leave the glitter and face paint at home and travel to Ravinia Festival, 200 Ravinia Park Road, Highland Park, for some easy listening.

Ravinia Festival showcases numerous musical performances throughout the summer. During these concerts, visitors can enjoy the outdoor venue by purchasing a seat in the tranquil pavilion, kicking back at a table in Terrace Sitting or snuggling up in a blanket on the enormous Lawn.

Among the list of performers are musical legends such as Al Green, James Taylor, Tony Bennett and Anita Baker. However, if you’re into more contemporary music, here’s a list of the top three shows that I’m looking forward to attending at Ravinia Festival this summer.

WHO: Colbie Caillat and Gavin DeGraw

WHEN: 7 p.m. June 29

COST: Reserved seats are $55 and lawn tickets are $22.

The “Bubbly” singer Colbie Caillat will be taking the stage with Gavin DeGraw, musician and recently booted Dancing with the Stars contestant, for a night full of easy-listening pop music.

WHO: Sarah McLachlan

WHEN: 7:30 p.m. June 30

COST: Reserved seats are $75 and lawn tickets are $33.

The Canadian singer Sarah McLachlan, synonymous with her endorsement of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, will be performing her emotional ballads with an orchestra.

WHO: Demi Lovato

WHEN: 7 p.m. Aug. 4

COST: Reserved seats are $50 and lawn tickets are $27.

Demi Lovato, singer-songwriter and Disney actress, will be rocking the stage with her explosively catchy pop-rock and R&B hits at the festival.
