DeKalb County residents able to recycle old holiday lights year-round

The DeKalb County Holiday Lights Recycling Drive is a way for citizens to recycle holiday lights.

DeKALB – DeKalb County offers a way for residents to recycle their old and broken holiday lights with the DeKalb County Holiday Lights Recycling Drive.

There are four locations around DeKalb County where people can recycle their lights. Two of these locations, the DeKalb County Health Organization, 2550 North Annie Glidden Road, and the DeKalb County Farm Bureau, 1350 W Prairie Drive, offer this service from Nov. 28 to Jan. 31 2023.

DeKalb Iron and Metal, LLC, 900 Oak St., and Zimmerman Recycling, 301 Industrial Drive, are available for recycling year round.

The hours available for recycling at these locations are 8 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The recycling service will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturdays at DeKalb Iron and Metal. The service will also be provided from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m Saturdays at Zimmerman Recycling.
