New ticket policy approved

NIU students who plan on attending men’s or women’s basketball games this season face a new ticket pick-up policy.

The new policy, approved by the NIU Athletic Board at yesterday’s monthly gathering, allows students to pick up tickets for an entire week’s worth of events.

Starting on each Monday morning of the new week, students can receive tickets for every game scheduled at Chick Evans Field House through the following Sunday.

The pre-game tickets can be picked up by the student at no cost with a valid student I.D. Students also may present up to ten I.D.‘s at one time.

However, if students don’t have the opportunity to pick up tickets prior to the game, they still can receive a ticket at the gate if seats still are available come game time.

An added feature to the new policy also involves General Public seats and the Student Section. If all of the Student Section seats already are taken and the General Public section isn’t filled up at tip-off, tickets will be allotted to students to sit in the General Public section, and vice versa.
