Quality contrast
October 1, 1991
We have all endured Mr. Karlson’s pontification for some time now. His recent article in the Faculty Bulletin appeared alongside Professor Lois Self’s discussing the current issue of diversity in the curriculum.
Unfortunately for him, the contrast in quality between the two articles was so stark that he might have lost the argument on that evidence alone. He has now accused Northern Today of bias in coverage and submitted somebody else’s quote to appear for the sake of balance.
While his recognition of his limitations is admirable, I hope he can find better quotes than the one he submitted. The scholars group that is spearheading the so-called “PC” fight will not be amused by the quality of representation they have at NIU.
