July 16, 1991
DeKalb residents and students will be able to purchase tickets to their favorite concerts soon.
Rose Records, a Chicago-based operation, opened at a new location July 15 in DeKalb. The new record store is located next to the Junction Center at 866 W. Lincoln Hwy.
Rose Records features a complete selection of music including jazz, classical, folk, blues and the cutting edge of today’s style music. “We will feature a variety of music to appeal to everyone,” said Brad Allen, manager of Rose Records.
Along with the full selection of recordings on compact discs and cassette tapes, Rose Records also will sell discontinued compact discs, cassettes, and records at special prices.
Rose Records will offer a Ticketmaster booth in about two weeks. The Ticketmaster booth will allow residents and students to purchase concert tickets for Chicago and all the local major music theater locations.
Ticketmaster also will offer tickets to most special events. Baseball game tickets, including the Chicago Cubs, White Sox and Kane County Cougars can be purchased at the Ticketmaster Booth.
Rose Records has been in business for 60 years. The new DeKalb branch will be the 32nd location of the store.
