‘Greek Scene’ to exhibit skits

Sigma Gamma Rho Inc. will be sponsoring their 16th annual “Greek Scene” this Saturday from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. at the Chick Evans Field House.

“Greek Scene” will include a show put on by the black greek organizations of different skits they have made up and that will be judged throughout the night. There will also be music provided by Party Time Productions and refreshments served by the Organization of Black Business Students.

“The purpose of Greek Scene is to unite all greek organizations and give people a chance to see what the organizations are all about,” said Judy Moncrieffe, treasurer of Sigma Gamma Rho.

Proceeds of the event will be donated to the many different philanthropies that Sigma Gamma Rho supports throughout the year. Some of the philanthropies include Africare, a project to support South Africa, and the March of Dimes Birth Defect Organization.

“Greek Scene” is open to the public for $3 in advance and $6 at the door. This activity is not related to “Greek Sing,” sponsored by the Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils which will be held Sunday night in the Duke Ellington Ballroom.

“Our goal is to bring about unity because if we stick together, we can accomplish anything,” said Moncrieffe.
