DeKALB – A notice from DeKalb’s Building and Code Enforcement Division was posted on the entrance of Halal Pros located at 817 W. Lincoln Highway.
The notice prohibits people from entering, says the building is “uninhabitable” and is signed by Lieutenant Thomas Conley from the DeKalb Fire Department.
The restaurant offers Middle Eastern cuisine and opened last June.
Conley said the closure was due to a “water leak that affected their business and a neighboring unit.”
“Because it is a restaurant, they were also referred to the DeKalb County Health Department for follow-up,” he said.
It is unknown when or if the restaurant will reopen.
Halal Pros did not respond to requests for comment.
