Woman gives description of exhibitionist

University Police developed a composite sketch of the man seen around campus exposing himself last week.

A deputy from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department drew a composite of the offender with assistance from a description from one of the victims.

A woman gave a description to the UPs after she saw a man masturbating with his pants unzipped while standing in front of the Visual Arts Building last Tuesday night.

She described a man between 5 feet 8 inches to 5 foot 10 inches, approximately 40 to 45 years old with reddish brown hair and gray beard. She said the man had a ruddy complexion.

The offender was last seen wearing khaki pants, a khaki jacket, maroon sweater with horizontal stripes and a yellow cap.

There have been no more reports of indecent exposure cases since last week’s incident.

UP Sgt. Ralph Taylor said there are no suspects so far and the case is still under investigation. In any case, complaints will be signed against the offender, police said.

“This type of activity does not happen often, at least not this semester,” Taylor said.

“I remember this happening a while back, but we did not catch the suspect,” he said. “But I believe that we have more than one person engaging in this type of activity.”

The last time UPs had a reported flasher was in the spring of 1989.
