AFTER-HOURS CONCERT: NIU SUZUKI STRINGS
Date and Time: 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday
Location: DeKalb Public Library
Thirteen high school and middle school violinists from the NIU Suzuki Strings program will perform a 45-minute concert of classical songs by Vivaldi, Bach and Pachelbel with a mix of tango, fiddle tunes and current-age popular music.
The concert will be free with no pre-registration required. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy a large ensemble concert directed by conductor Silas Huff and assistant conductor Zihan Zhou. Tickets for the performance are free for NIU students, $7 for the general public and $5 for non-NIU students, seniors and staff.

The School of Theatre and Dance is ending its 2024-2025 production season with the annual Spring Dance Concert. Tickets are free for NIU students, $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and staff and $12 for non-NIU students.

Held in over 80 nations, World Tai Chi & Qigong Day will be celebrated by Professor Paul Wright and his students by hosting a Tai Chi learning event that introduces visitors to the world of Tai Chi. This event is free to attend and no pre-registration is required.

Join the members of the community for an early morning of car gazing and coffee from Cast Iron Coffee across the street. The cost for entering your vehicle is $5.

The third annual festival is a student-run event where participating students will show films they filmed and prepared in under 72 hours and are centered around the theme of “Battle of the Ages.” This event is free to attend and pre-registration is not required.
