Star chooses new ’91 managers

Being a student-run newspaper, The Northern Star management team is subject to change each semester.

The following is a summary of the Spring 1991 managers:

Beth Behland will retain her position as editor-in-chief, as will Managing Editor Greg Rivara.

Editorial Editor Bill Schwingel will keep his position.

Sue Dispensa will take over as advertising manager and oversee the display ads department. She will be assisted by Bill Bracken.

Dean Dougherty will supervise the production staff as production manager along with his assistant, Ad Production Manager Chris Lussow.

Mark McGowan will stay in the news room as campus editor with the help of newly-appointed City Editor Marc Alberts.

Sean Leary will be the new features editor.

Laura Pacetti will remain the classified advertising manager.

The new copy editor will be Sheri Cocciemiglio.

Carl Ackerman will take over as the sports editor with Wes Swietek as his associate.

Greg Dunlap will be photo editor. Jennifer Ocic will be his assistant.

Denise Lutz will start the semester as billing manager.

Payroll Manager Heather Moore will keep her title.

Mark Wray will remain circulation manager.

Night News Editor Patrick Cummings also will keep his position.

The editor-in-chief is selected through an election process by a nine-member management board. All other managers are appointed by the editor in consultation with who she selects as managing editor, faculty adviser and other senior staff members.
