Charles Merzbacher’s NIU men’s tennis team easily tackled their Mid-Continent foes last weekend, now NIU has a stiffer challenge.

NIU had little trouble with its Mid-Continent foes, but an ambitious Merzbacher is looking for more. “We still need a lot of work, especially on doubles. We still want to get a lot accomplished,” he said.

The Huskies will head down south to Bloomington to compete in the Redbird Invitational which will feature six teams. Merzbacher expects a tough meet.

“Illinois State and Indiana State are at our level, they’re the teams we’ve got to get,” Merzbacher said.
