Big plans for little siblings weekend

Little siblings can visit NIU this weekend and participate in the “Carnival of Dreams” or other activities.

The carnival, in front of Stevenson Towers, will be a “pretty big event,” said Jim Rooney, Stevenson Towers area coordinator.

The carnival will have about 18 booths, including a dunk tank and moon walk. It will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, said coordinator Karen Stock.

Residents are encouraged to register their siblings Friday night or Saturday morning in the residence halls in case of emergency and for identification purposes, Stock said. Registration times will vary with each hall, she said.

Rosemary Lane, University Health Services director, said visitors can receive one-time treatment at the health center. After that, patients would be referred to other doctors or hospitals.
