SA allots funds for club sports

Club sports will get their share of Student Association money when the SA decides club budgets Sunday night.

SA members will meet at 6 p.m. in the Holmes Student Center’s Heritage Room.

Organizations receive money for the next fiscal year based on their needs and expansion with an allowance of a 4.5 percent increase from this fiscal year’s budget, said SA Treasurer Bruce Williams.

Other items taken into consideration by the SA finance committee before recommendations are made include mandated wage increases, inflation, specific services and items which the organization does not have control over, Williams said.

However, if campus organizations were given everything they requested, there would be a substantial increase in student activity fees, Williams said.

“Very few organizations are getting less than what they recieved last year,” he said.
