DeKalb Police have arrested two more individuals in connection with the battery of an NIU student that occurred in the 900 block of Hillcrest Drive, ending the search for any further participants.

Kirk E. Sculley, 19, Oak Park, Ill., and Ted Alexandrakis, 18, 595 Grant Towers North, were arrested by DeKalb Police after arrest warrants were issued Friday.

The Oct. 14 battery of the NIU student by three assailants involved a traffic misunderstanding at a four-way stop. The victim was traveling alone, and the assailants were riding in a vehicle with two other men, police said.

Alexandrakis, the driver of the car, was charged with battery due to accountability, said DeKalb Police Chief Don Berke. Sculley was charged with battery and mob action, which involves two or more people committing an illegal act, Berke said.

Police also added a mob action charge to Michael E. Spizzirri, 19, Rolling Meadows, Ill. Spizzirri, the first person to be charged in the incident, was arrested on Oct. 20 and is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 8.

Sculley posted $500 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 9. Alexandrakis posted $100 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 17.

The police do not anticipate any further arrests because although there were five people in the group, two of the individuals did not do anything illegal, Berke said.
