Stabbing charge

A Robbins, Illinois man was arrested by DeKalb Police Saturday after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend three times with a pair of scissors.

Jasper C. Gillespie, 24, 3812 E. 140 St., Robbins, Ill., was charged with criminal damage to property and aggravated battery in connection with the incident.

Police reports state the victim was stabbed in the back of the head behind her left ear, the lower left side of her abdomen and the left top of her shoulder. She was treated and released from Kishwaukee Community Hospital.

The scissors were found in Gillespie’s back pant’s pockets and were confiscated at the scene, reports state.

Another female was injured in the incident when Gillespie reportedly struck her while attempting to gain entrance to the apartment, reports state. She also was treated and released from KCH.

Gillespie caused $40 in damage when he kicked in the apartment door in order to gain entrance, reports state. A court date for the incident has not been assigned.
