JLS not an asset

Martha Palmer’s letter on Nov. 29 is quite generous in stating that the JLS is “an asset to the NIU campus.” She is also making a very broad assumption in saying the JLS “led the total campus as a whole” when a racist flyer appeared on campus.

I do not support any racial activity in any way, either here at NIU or anywhere else, but I can assure you that I have NEVER considered myself led by the self-righteous JLS in any activity. The JLS is less of an asset than an aggravation.

I do not need Jim Fabris or anyone else to tell me what bandwaggons to jump on or which causes to support—my conscience and morality already have that job.
