NIU phone books coming soon

Campus telephone books have gone to the printer and will be delivered by early next week, said Dale Pollett, telecommunications director and communications systems supervisor.

A publisher’s error last year left out names in the faculty/staff section of the telephone books. Pollett said, “We don’t anticipate any problems for this year.”

The problem with last year’s books was solved by printing a supplement which included all of the missing names and numbers.

Pollett said, “Information for the phone books is gathered from a variety of sources—the provost’s office, personnel, registration and records and various organizations on campus.”

After the distribution labels are attached, the telephone books are delivered to fraternity and sorority houses and residence halls.
