Celebrate the end of National Skating Month with National Get Up Day. On the ice, skaters are constantly getting up after falling down, which is a practice that applies to every aspect of life.

This national day was created in 2017 by U.S. Figure Skating, a national organization, to encourage individuals, their communities and the country to “get up” by sharing stories of perseverance.

Before the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, Get Up created a campaign of inspirational weekly videos. If you’re in need of inspiration, check out wegetup.com, a website dedicated to this movement.

Life rarely goes as we plan, but instead puts up obstacles in our path. Get Up celebrates the moments in which we choose to push past the hard parts of life to achieve our goals.

Share your story of getting up (with this snowy weather it could be literally or metaphorically) with #WeGetUp on social media.
