Cold weather means dry skin: Be prepared

By Maddie Barrett

Nobody wants to deal with dry, cracking and itchy skin Combat winter weather with a rejuvenating skin care routine. Skin care is important, especially with the cold winter weather around the corner. Be sure to keep your skin moisturized for the cold winter months.

Step one:

Pull hair back with a ponytail holder and headband (optional) to keep your hair out of your face.

Step two:

Use face wash like Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel. Massage gently in circular motions to wet skin. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and follow with your toner and moisturizer.

Step three:

Take off any excess makeup. I use Mario Badescu Eye Makeup Remover Cream. Apply a small amount of product to lids and lashes using a cotton pad. Wipe in a downward direction until all makeup is gone. Rinse off any residue afterwards. Watch your makeup disappear!

Step four:

Use toner to give you a fresh-faced glow after washing your face. Apply to skin using a cotton pad or ball. Wipe in outward motions until the cotton pad is clean. Watch the magic work as your skin becomes radiant and your pores become nearly invisible.

Step five:

I love to use Clean & Clear dual action moisturizer to moisturize my skin and prevent breakouts. After cleaning your face and pores, apply a thin layer over your face. Massage into skin, and let dry. Don’t use this too often if your skin dries out, since it does have salicylic acne medication included in its ingredients.
