City officials have declared a parking prohibition on all snow routes within the city.

The DeKalb Police Department have enforced the snow emergency route and parking restriction since 6:15 a.m. and are authorized to ticket and tow vehicles violating the ordinance.

Those found in violation of the ordinance will be fined no less than $25 and no more than $75.

City officials are encouraging residents to remove the vehicles from city streets.
