DeKalb — The baseball team will host its annual Lead-Off Banquet in an effort to help raise funds for the program.

The public is invited to the banquet, which features a dinner and a silent auction. The baseball team will honor its 2013 Mid-American Conference West Division Champions as their MAC West Championship banner will be unveiled.

Tickets for the event are $75 per person, and sponsorship tables are available for $200 dollars a table.

Fans can also sponsor a student-athlete to attend the banquet for $75.

In years past, the banquet has helped the baseball program obtain new equipment, new uniforms and supported the team with road game travels.

The banquet is set for 5 p.m. Feb. 11 at Acquaviva Winery, 47W614 U.S Route 38, Maple Park, Illinois 60151. Doors open at 4 p.m., and the main program will begin at 5 p.m.

The Huskies will begin the 2018 season Feb. 16 with a three-game series at Central Arkansas.
