Students compete with homemade recycled boats

By Northern Star staff

Participants assembled recyclable and trash into boats and will be racing them in the annual Recycled Boat Race from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the East Lagoon.

Required to be 70 percent used materials, it is not only a race between contestants, but also a battle of ingenuity.

Hosted by the Campus Activities Board, boats that finish the race have a chance to win homecoming points and medals or trophies. Winning boats will be displayed by Campus Activities Board during future homecoming races.
