An armed robbery took place on the 1000 block of Regent Road 1:42 a.m. today.

The male victim was robbed by one individual who presented a handgun and took personal property from the victim before fleeing in a red vehicle with tinted windows. The victim was not injured, according to a NIU Safety Bulletin.

The suspect is described as male, approximately 20 years old, has a mustache and was wearing a black T-shirt with white writing and a black hat, according to the bulletin.
