Updated list: The most anticipated summer albums, after release date

By Northern Star staff

DeKalb | In the beginning of the summer we predicted that the most anticipated albums of the summer would be “Dangerous Woman” by Ariana Grande, “Last Year Was Complicated” by Nick Jonas, “Some Town Somewhere” by Kenny Chesney and “Youth Authority” by Good Charlotte — which succeeded?

“Dangerous Woman”

This album was released on May 22 only shot to the No. 2 spot behind Drake’s album “Views,” on Billboad Hot 200 list — a disappointing launch.

“Last Year Was Complicated”

This album was released on June 10 and only rose to No 2. as well behind Drake on Billboard Hot 200 list — Jonas failed to dethrone the Canadian rapper.

“Some Town Somewhere”

The album was originally set to debut in July, this album will now release October 28, according to headlineplanet.com

“Youth Authority”

The album released on July 15 and has hit No. 8 on the midweek chart. It has hope to move up, this is so far their best chart showing for more than a decade, according to billboard.com
