Netflix Shows To Watch

Now that winter has made its return to DeKalb, staying warm and inside sounds like a great idea. If you’re a Netflix watcher like me, consider tuning into these Netflix originals returning this year:

Premiering in February

1. “Love”

This Netflix original stars Paul Rust and Gillian Jacobs in a new relationship comedy that will air on Feb. 19. The series explores perspectives of male and female dating and relationships.

2. “Fuller House”

This spin-off of the 1987 original series “Full House” will air on Feb 26. The new show includes D.J. Tanner-Fuller as a widow and mother of three. Things begin to be too much to handle, so she asks for help from her sister Stephanie and her best friend Kimmy.

Premiering in March

3. “House of Cards”

This Netflix original will be returning for its fourth season on March 4 and will continue to follow the story of Frank Underwood, a politician who plots revenge on those who have betrayed him on his rise to power.

4. “Flaked”

This eight-episode comedy tells the story of a man living in Venice, CA who falls for his best friend’s crush. The series airs on Mar 11.

Premiering in April

5. “The Ranch”

This series reunites “That ‘70s Show” stars Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson. The plot follows a football player that returns home to his family’s ranch in Colorado. The show airs April 1.

6. “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”

The second season of this show will be available April 15 for Netflix viewers, and will be covering new grounds for 29-year-old Kimmy Schmidt, who moved to New York City after breaking away from a doomsday cult in Indiana in season 1.

Premiering in May

7. “Grace and Frankie”

This show will return for its second season on May 6. This comedy tells the story of two women who form a relationship to deal with their husbands leaving them.

Premiering in June

8. “Orange Is The New Black”

This critically-acclaimed Netflix original will be returning for its fourth season on June 17. The series follows the story of Piper Chapman, a woman convicted for a 10-year-old crime of transporting drugs for her drug lord ex-girlfriend, Alex Vause.
