DeKalb police have suspect in last month’s shooting

Police have a suspect involved in a shooting that led to two injuries last month.

An individual shot two males during a party at 3:16 a.m. Sept. 6 at 901 Regent Drive. The shooter fled the scene, and no arrests have been made since. The victims are now out of the hospital.

DeKalb police will meet with the state’s attorney to review their information next week, said Lt. Bob Redel of the DeKalb Police Department.

There were 39 cases of shots being fired in 2014, 47 in 2013 and 38 in 2012, according to the 2014 DeKalb Police Department Annual Report.
