The DogHouse food truck is hiring students from all majors for various jobs on the truck.

The DogHouse — absent a truck — was introduced during the 2014 Homecoming game by alumni Jordan Delegal, Keith Otis and Elliot Echols. Gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches were made in a tent and served to those who attended the game.

The alumni stared a fundraiser to purhcase a truck in Oct. 2014 after the business’s success, and the DogHouse officially opened during the Huskie Bowl in April. The DogHouse is used primarily during the football games.

Delegal said part of the reason he wanted to create the food truck was to become apart of NIU’s identity, according to an April 9 Northern Star article.

“Essentially, as it stands we are looking for a couple different talented individuals,” Delegal said. “As business grows we’ll be looking for more workers. Marketing, primarily with some social experience. We’re looking to also find people to primarily operate the food truck. Not having your certificate for food service isn’t necessarily a barrier for us though.”
