Huskies wide receiver charged with DUI, possession of fraudulent driver’s license

A Huskies football player was charged with driving under the influence and possession of a fraudulent driver’s license on July 24.

Wide receiver Skyler P. Monaghan was stopped by a DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputy at 12:18 a.m. on Route 23 and Lloyd Road for speeding, according to a DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office news release. Monaghan was driving at 93 mph in a 55 mph zone, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon investigation, Monaghan was arrested and charged with DUI, DUI over .08 and speeding in a 55 mph zone, which are all class A misdemeanors, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Possession of a fraudulent driver’s license is a class 4 felony.
