NIU women’s basketball: Four pack of Huskies make Academic All-MAC Team

A quartet of women’s basketball student-athletes were named to the Academic All-MAC Team, the conference announced Monday.

Seniors Amanda Corral, Alex Dumoulin, Danny Pulliam and Jenna Thorp made the cut for the award. Student-athletes must have a 3.20 or higher cumulative GPA and have played in at least half of their team’s contests.

Corral, who as a 4.0 GPA in pre-physical therapy, picked up her third Academic All-MAC honor. She averaged 16.2 points per game and was named to the All-MAC First Team after the season.

Dumoulin, a mechanical engineering major with a 3.41 GPA, averaged 1.2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game in 18 contests.

Pulliam, who has a 3.29 GPA in the sports management graduate program, averaged 4.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.

Thorp, who had a 3.85 GPA in sports management, averaged 6.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
