By Northern Star staff

NIU will hold two town hall-style meetings so attendees may learn about NIU’s reprioritization and “key strategic initiatives” to improve recruitment and retention, according to a Tuesday announcement.

NIU President Doug Baker and Provost Lisa Freeman will speak at the meetings, explaining reprioritization and its timeline. Attendees will be able to ask Baker and Freeman questions.

NIU has authorized release time so employees may attend the meetings, according to the announcement. The meetings will be broadcast on NIU campus digital channel 20.1 and will be streamed on computers via Adobe Connect.

The meetings are 1-2:30 p.m. and 3-4:30 p.m. Jan. 29 in the Holmes Student Center, Carl Sandburg Auditorium.
