NIU gymnastics: Amanda Stepp earns MAC Gymnast of the Week honors

Senior gymnast Amanda Stepp was named MAC Gymnast of the Week for her performance in the Huskies’ season-opening win Friday against the Illinois-Chicago Flames.
Stepp nabbed first place in each of the three events she competed in as the Huskies rallied for a come-from-behind 192.250-189.575 win.
Stepp posted a 9.700 in the floor exercise, a 9.725 on the vault and a 9.850 on the balance beam. The 9.850 balance beam score topped her previous best of 9.750.
