Police Reports: Oct. 6-7

• At 8:13 p.m., an officer in the NIU Police Department took a report of theft. Later that day the complainant recovered his or her property. This case is closed.

• At 12:35 a.m., an officer stopped a car at 1300 Blackhawk Road. The officer noticed alcohol in the vehicle, though everyone in the car was younger than 21. Two people were given verbal warnings for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Archie A. Harris, 19, of Chicago, was arrested for possession of cannabis and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Daniel P. Williams, 20, of Chicago, was arrested for DUI and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Monday

• At 12:32 a.m. Sept. 9, an officer went to Douglas Hall for a report of theft. On Monday, a person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for theft.

• At 1:22 p.m. Oct. 2, an officer in the NIU Police Department took a report of theft. On Monday, this case was closed.

• At 12:16 p.m., an officer in the NIU Police Department took a report of theft. This case is open.

• At 1:04 p.m., an officer in the NIU Police Department took a report of theft. Later that day the complainant located his or her property. This case is closed, unfounded.

• At 11:32 p.m., officers went to Stevenson Towers North for a report of battery. Angel L. Roberts, 18, of Chicago, was arrested for battery.

• At 2:15 p.m., a person reported a battery to a hall director at Neptune East. The incident was reported to university officials.

• At 10:35 p.m., a person reported a sexual assault to a community adviser at Stevenson Towers South. The incident was reported to university officials.
