NIU police issues safety bulletin

NIU police issued an advisory Sunday morning for an off-campus report of a home invasion and robbery. According to the advisory, DeKalb police are investigating the report and believe the act was not random and the suspects may have known the occupants of the residence. Three subjects allegedly pushed in the door of the residence. DeKalb Police have two persons of interest in custody.

On Thursday, a person reported a home invasion and robbery on Lucinda Avenue. That incident allegedly included the brandishing of a handgun and threats of sexual assault. Eric J. Lecoure, 18, of Forest Park, was arrested for two counts of home invasion and one count armed robbery; Kyndal S. Pringles, 18, of Aurora, was arrested for two counts of home invasion and one count armed robbery; and Myles E. Stowers, 18, of Aurora, was arrested for two counts of home invasion, one count armed robbery and one count attempted aggravated criminal sexual assault in relation to the Thursday incident. Police are still searching for a fourth subject.
