The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

 

Wednesday

At 8:19 a.m., officers conducted a trespass compliance check at University Village apartment complex, 915 Crane Drive, for habitual offenders. Lou A. Gilespie, 22, was charged with criminal trespass to property.

At 8:38 a.m., officers conducted a trespass compliance check at University Village apartment vomplex, 915 Crane Drive, for habitual offenders. Kaila T. Canon, 21, was charged with failure to appear—domestic battery. Canon was released on bond with a court date.

At 9:11 a.m., officers conducted a trespass compliance check at University Village apartment complex, 915 Crane Drive, for habitual offenders. Alexander D. Johnson, 22, was charged with failure to appear—trespassing, criminal trespass and obstructing identification.

At 10:09 p.m., officers observed a vehicle without a registration light illuminating its rear license plate. Following a traffic stop at 700 N. Annie Glidden Road, Mora L. Parker, 21, was charged with no valid driver’s license and no rear registration plate light. Parker was released on bond.

At 10:24 p.m., officers observed a subject who was known to have a suspended driver’s license driving through 821 Crane Drive. Following a traffic stop at 800 Russell Road, Ceshia Puckett, 25, was charged with driving with a suspended license and no insurance. Puckett was released on bond.

While checking on a wellbeing call, officers located Tanya K. Boursma, 33. Officers confirmed a warrant and Boursma was charged with retail theft.

Wendy K. Redd, 37, was arrested and charged with harassment by telephone. Redd was released on bond with a court date.

Thursday

At 12:58 a.m., officers observed a vehicle cross the double yellow center lines and almost completely enter the eastbound lane. Following a traffic stop at 1200 S. Malta Road, a 26-year-old woman was charged with DUI, DUI over .08 and improper lane usage. During bonding procedures, she made a suicidal statement and DeKalb Fire transported her to Kishwaukee Community Hospital.

At 1:32 a.m., officers responded multiple times to 230 Augusta Ave. for an intoxicated male who was causing problems in the building. David J. Plouffe, 25, was charged with disorderly conduct and transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Jail.

At 5:59 p.m., officers responded to Best Western, 1212 W. Lincoln Highway, for the report of a white male yelling in the outdoor courtyard. It was further reported he was pounding on the exterior wall and hotel room entry doors. Following investigation, Floyd E. Wright, 41, was charged with disorderly conduct.

At 6:44 p.m., officers were dispatched to Super Pantry, 1102 N. First St., for an employee theft report. The complainant stated an employee had voided two transactions and put the money in the cancer awareness fund. Sharecesa A. L. McClurkin, 23, was charged with theft.

At 12:41 p.m., a 16-year-old turned himself in on a failure to appear—aggravated DUI. He was then transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

Friday

At 1:19 a.m., following a traffic stop at 700 N. Annie Glidden Road, Bryant D. Butler, 18, was charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle when registration is revoked. Butler posted his driver’s license as bond and was given a court date.

Saturday

At 12:37 a.m., officers performed a random license plate check and found a plate to be expired. Following a traffic stop at 1000 W. Hillcrest Drive, Michael Deangelo Randle, 23, was charged with obstructing identification, driving with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle with expired registration.

At 1:25 a.m., officers observed a vehicle pass at a high rate of speed. Following a traffic stop at 400 W. Lincoln Highway, Earl S. Hudson, 33, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08 and speeding.

At 1:44 a.m., officers observed a vehicle driving without its lights. Following a traffic stop at 200 W. Lincoln Highway, Billy L. Chism, 27, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, driving without headlights and driving without a seatbelt.

At 3:57 a.m., officers returned a lost dog to a subject in reference to a dog at large call. While speaking with the subject, officers ran a LEADS check which revealed a failure to appear warrant. Marland J. Moore, 20, was charged with failure to appear—obstructing identification and was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 4:15 a.m., officers responded to McDonalds, 805 W. Lincoln Highway, for a suspect sleeping in his car. Upon arrival the vehicle was driving away. Following a traffic stop at 1000 W. Lincoln Highway, Matthew O. Petrie, 24, was charged with DUI alcohol, improper lane usage and traffic control violation.

At 7:06 a.m., officers were dispatched to a 10th Street residence in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, both parties were on the scene. Officers learned a battery had occurred. Richard Sean Sheridan, 40, was charged with two counts of domestic battery.

At 7:24 p.m., officers observed a vehicle without a registration light. Following a traffic stop at 800 Greenbrier Road, Jonathan Green, 29, was charged with driving with license revoked and was released on bond. Lynell Sutton, 25, was cited for no child restraint for child under eight years of age.

At 7:29 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Fotis Drive residence for a domestic battery call. Upon arrival officers learned a male battered a female. It was also learned the female was pregnant. Devon L. Mack, 20, was charged with aggravated battery and two counts of domestic battery. Mack was transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

At 10:11 p.m., officers ran the registration of a vehicle traveling northbound. It was learned the vehicle possessed suspended registration. Following a traffic stop at 900 N. Annie Glidden Road, Gregory L. Griffin, 20, was charged with driving with a suspended license and suspended registration. Griffing was released on bond with a court date.

At 10:41 p.m., officers observed a vehicle change lanes without a turn signal in the middle of an intersection. Following a traffic stop at 400 N. Annie Glidden Road, Donald L. Rucker, was charged with failure to appear—traffic and operating an uninsured vehicle. Rucker was released on bond.

Officers served Jonathan P. Howard, 24, a warrant for two counts of domestic battery. Howard was transported to the DeKalb County Jail.
