City blotter for 11/16/11

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Monday

  • At 1:57 a.m., DeKab Police performing a business check in the 800 block of Ridge Drive observed a suspicious person. Upon investigation, officers learned the man, Christopher A. Brower, 25, of Elgin, had a valid failure to appear warrant. Brower was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station. He was later released on bond.
  • At 3:51 p.m., DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a warrant attempt for D’Angelo D. Henry, 27, of Chicago, in the 2000 block of Eves Court. Henry was unable to post his bond at the scene and was arrested. Henry was transported to DeKalb County Jail pending bond.

Tuesday

  • At 1:52 a.m., DeKalb Police officers on foot patrol observed a man vomiting outside an apartment in the 1000 block of West Lincoln Highway. Officers spoke with the man, Marcus D. Jackson, 22, of Chicago, and his friends nearby who told the officers it was Jackson’s birthday and he had consumed a large amount of alcohol. Officers checked Jackson’s identification to determine whether he was over 21 years of age and found Jackson had a valid failure to appear warrant for a disorderly house. Jackson was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station. He was later released on bond.
