Another Chicago man was arrested Friday morning in connection with the Sept. 28 shooting on Lucinda Avenue, said DeKalb Police Lt. Gary Spangler.

Spangler said Luther Teagues, 18, of Chicago, is charged with armed robbery, armed violence and obstruction of justice.

This is the fourth arrest made in connection with the shooting, which took place shortly before midnight Sept. 28 in the Village Commons Bookstore parking lot. Three other individuals, Eric Sims, 20, of Evergreen Park, and Ventreal Lewis, 20, of Harvey, were charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, armed violence and armed robbery in connection with the shooting. NIU student Chrishaun R. Scott, 19, of Chicago, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with armed robbery, armed violence and obstruction of justice.

Spangler said police believe Teagues and Scott were inside Shark’s Fish and Chicken, 901 Lucinda Ave., at the time of the shooting and are acquaintances of the other individuals involved. None of the four men currently in custody are believed to be the shooter, Spangler said.
