Campus crime blotter for March 3

Saturday

  • At 6:12 p.m., a complainant reported someone had taken his wallet from a locker at the Campus Recreation Center. The complainant also reported someone had attempted to use his debit card which was in his stolen wallet, without his permission. This case is open and pending further investigation.

Sunday

  • At 1:36 a.m., an officer at the Convocation Center recognized a subject banned from all NIU property and arrested him, pursuant to the banning order. Robert Price, 21, of Chicago, was arrested for criminal trespass to land.
  • At 2:58 a.m., three females were involved in an altercation at the Convocation Center. The aggressor threatened one female earlier and then later on hit another female in the face multiple times. Rashana Robertson, 20, of DeKalb, was arrested for battery.
  • At 4:10 a.m., a domestic dispute was reported that occurred at Grant North. A boyfriend who was heavily intoxicated became angry and hit his girlfriend who then locked him out of his room. Quintrell Wilbourn, 19, of Chicago, broke the glass of a fire extinguisher and was arrested for criminal damage to property, domestic battery and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Monday

  • At 9 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Lincoln Hall to investigate the odor of cannabis emanating from a restroom. Troy Lee, 19, of Riverdale, was suspected and, after being questioned, was arrested for giving false identification and having a current banning order, in addition to an existing warrant outside of DeKalb County.
  • At 11:38 p.m., a lost or stolen cell phone was reported at the Campus Recreation Center. A female using the track realized her cell phone dropped out of her pocket while she was running. This case is pending investigation.
