City police blotter for 2/8/11

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

At 9:37 p.m. on Saturday, DeKalb Police pulled over a vehicle in the 400 block of East Fairview Drive displaying only one head lamp. Police learned the driver, Martin Valenzuela, 45, of DeKalb, had no driver’s license. Valenzuela was arrested and taken to the police station. He was later released on bond.

At 1:35 p.m. on Sunday, DeKalb Police stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of Greenbrier Road. Police learned the driver, Corderia C. Cook, 19, of DeKalb, was driving with a suspended license and had no insurance. Cook was arrested and taken to the police station. She was later released on bond.

At 8:32 p.m. on Sunday, DeKalb Police ran a check on a vehicle in the 1000 block of Lincoln Highway. Police stopped the vehicle and learned the driver, Naquan A Hudson, 33, of DeKalb, was driving with a suspended license, had no insurance and was in possession of cannabis. Hudson was taken to the police station and later released on bond.
