The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from the DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
• At 4:36 a.m. Thursday, DeKalb Police became aware of a suspect’s active warrant in the 200 block of East Hillcrest Drive. Police arrested Elias R. Perez, 35, of DeKalb, for a failure to appear warrant. Perez was transported to the DeKalb Police Department and later released after posting bond.
• At 7:58 p.m. Thursday, DeKalb Police observed a vehicle in the 900 block of Sycamore Road run through a stoplight. After a traffic stop was made, police learned the person had a valid warrant out on them. Patrick K. Owens, 19, of DeKalb, was arrested for a failure to appear warrant and was transported to the DeKalb Police Department. Owens was unable to post bond and was then sent to DeKalb County Jail.
• At 1:32 p.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police observed a vehicle in the 900 block of North Annie Glidden Road had expired plates. After a traffic stop was made, police learned the driver did not have a valid driver’s licence. Jorge L. Gomez-Gonzalez, 36, of DeKalb, was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license and was transported to the DeKalb Police Department. He was later released after posting bond.
