Late Night Ride is late night no show

By Kathryn Minniti

Have you ever experienced a time when a friend said they would drive you home one night and they never showed up? Or how about a time when they said they would come get you when you call them and you spent over an hour trying to get a hold of them on the phone?

Well, that pretty much describes my experiences with “Late Night Ride.”

Thursday night, I got stranded and had to walk home because I called and got a busy tone every time. I called over three times at different parts of the night to try and get a ride. Then after that, I had called non-emergency police department to assist me with the late night number issue and that was no help. I was just told to “Keep calling, they are just very busy.”

Friends have called and waited outside for an hour to have no one show up. It seems like we are getting stood up by the Late Night Ride crew.

The lines are always busy even with the extended hours. I feel like any time of day is the wrong time to call them because it always has a busy tone or just a dial tone.

So what is there to do for the unfortunate stranded? Hope the system improves or we must come together and buy some new kicks, because we got a lot of walking to do.
