Campus blotter 10/11/10

Sept. 28

  • At 9:11 p.m., officers exiting Lincoln Hall encountered four subjects on the steps. One of those persons was preparing to smoke marijuana in a cigar device. A warrant was later obtained for the offender. On Oct. 8, the offender was placed under arrest and was transported to the NIU Police Department. He was booked and later released after posting bond.

Oct. 2

  • At 1:19 a.m., an officer took a report regarding a suspicious male in the Neptune North computer lab. The complainant advised that she felt alarmed and disturbed by the individual’s behavior while he was in the computer lab. She observed him with his hands in his pants acting suspiciously. A warrant was later obtained for the offender. On Oct. 8, the offender was placed under arrest and was transported to the NIU Police Department. He was booked and transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

FRIDAY

  • At 10:13 p.m., three individuals were found unlawfully in possession of cannabis. They were placed under arrest and transported to the NIU Police Department. They were all booked. One subject was released after posting bond. The two other subjects were released on I-Bonds.

SATURDAY

  • At 5:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to Huskie Stadium on a report of theft. A cooler that contained bottled water was broken into and damaged. This case is closed pending further leads.
