Colin Sullivan, junior physical education major, competed against hundreds of other contestants to win the grand prize of $20,000 and a lifetime supply of Trident gum.

After multiple chin balancing acts with bicycles, patio furniture and 6-foot ladders, Sullivan was voted by American viewers as the winner on the nationwide talent show on “Regis and Kelly Live.”

Sullivan has also been featured on the “Ellen Degeneres Show.”

Sullivan said in a press release that he had no idea that he had won. The winner was not announced until the morning of that show.

“I was jumping up and down,” he said in the release.

With the money won, Sullivan plans to hand over the cash to his parents who have supported him throughout his life.

“If I do want to buy something, though, hopefully they’ll say yes,” he said in the release.
