Three people injured in car accident

Two cars collided at approximately 12:23 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Annie Glidden Road and Rich Road.

According to a press release by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, a 1987 Ford F150 was traveling eastbound on Rich Road and did not yield to a 2008 Nissan Altima traveling northbound on Annie Glidden Road.

There were a total of three people injured, one from the Nissan and two in the truck, but the extent of their injuries were not known as of press time.

According to the release, the passenger of the truck, Kimberly D. Pincombe, 32, of Sycamore, and the driver of the Nissan, Sabrina L. Strong, 28, of Kirkland, both suffered injuries in the crash and were transported to Kishwaukee Community Hospital

The driver of the truck, Joshua B. Pincombe, 31, of Sycamore was also listed as injured and was issued a citation for failure to yield at a stop intersection.

A person was seen being taken on a stretcher in a DeKalb County ambulance at approximately 12:45 p.m., but it was unclear who it was and what the extent of his or her injuries were.

Police were on the scene directing traffic but would not comment on the incident.
