Bands that should reunite

By HEATHER SKRIP

In honor of Phish getting back together, I thought that I would come up with a list of other great bands that I feel should also reunite. The chances that these bands will get back together are slim to none, but if Phish got back together, then maybe it’s still possible.

1) At The Drive-In

Although The Mars Volta and Sparta are around, the two bands are still fighting with each other. Now if they could only manage to get back together, one wrong in the world would be righted.

2) Count the Stars

They were a great pop-punk band that got their start with Victory Records. Even though they broke up back in 2003, the band proved that not all break-ups have to be messy affairs that include blaming others. Instead, all parties involved can just peacefully walk away.

3) The Early November

The band’s melodic indie beats were enough to make anyone a fan. Unfortunately, before a break-up in 2007, they were only able to put out two albums and three EP’s.

4) Matchbook Romance

This punk-rock band went on an “indefinite hiatus” back in 2007. Sadly enough, it doesn’t seem as if they will be getting back together.

5) Spitalfield

The Chicago-based rock band called it quits last year. Their music was rock that had a catch to it that was amazing, but not overdone by others in the scene.

These were just a few of the bands that I felt should get back together and pick up where they left off.

However, to narrow this list down, I did not include any bands whose break-up resulted from a death.

Otherwise, I would give almost anything to see The Beatles or Nirvana live.
