Appellate Court Judge of the Second Judicial District

Robert D. McLaren is running for Appellate Court Judge of the Second Judicial District.

From 1970 to 1977, he was an assistant and Special Assistant State’s Attorney, and from 1977 to 1981 McLaren practiced law privately.

In 1981 he was appointed as an associate judge of the 18th Circuit Court, and in 1984 became a Circuit Judge. He was elected in 1988 as an Appellate Judge.

McLaren is a member of the Illinois Judges’ Association, Appellate Lawyers’ Association and the DuPage County Bar Association.

McLaren attended Oak Park and River Forest High School. He attended Monmouth College with Bachelors Arts in 1966, and he attended Drake University Law School J.D. in 1969.
