CAB dichotomy

On Thursday night, Oct. 14, we attended the CAB sponsored production of Mozart’s opera, “Don Giovanni.” That same day The Northern Star ran an advertisement on page six for another CAB sponsored activity. It began, “Hey Ladies, Need a Night Out?” and detailed a trip planed for Oct. 28 to Chicago’s well-known club featuring male exotic dancers, Sugarshack. This struck us as inappropriate, and we wonder how others feel. Being women who support efforts to secure equality for women in this society, if this ad had described an outing to a club featuring female exotic dancers, sponsored by CAB, we think that many women at this school would be livid. Are men offended by this CAB event? We would like to know.
