The King Memorial Commons was abuzz with music Wednesday.
Dancers from the Northern Dance Theatre, affiliated with the College of Visual and Performing Arts, performed in a promotion for the upcoming “Art for Life,” an AIDS awareness event. The AIDS Foundation of Chicago will host the event at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Egyptian Theatre.
Along with dancers, the event will also feature musical performers from Chicago and the DeKalb area.
Ashlie Jarosz, a senior dance performance major in her third year with NDT, produces the show.
“We want to have a thousand people there,” Jarosz said.
