The NIU women’s tennis team has struggled to a 4-11 record this season, but the MAC has not overlooked individual achievement.

Jenny Edner has been named MAC Player of the Week after she went undefeated last week in singles and doubles matches.

“It’s certainly nice recognition for Jenny and her hard work. Despite our team having faced some adversity, she’s continued to stay focused and play hard every time,” NIU coach Pontus Hiort said. “She had a really good weekend in both singles and doubles and really elevated her play against [Andreea] Novaceanu.”

Illinois Invitational

The NIU track and field team will take its show on the road this weekend when it competes in the Illinois Invitational this Saturday.

The Huskies are coming off a third place performance at the Toledo Triangular Thursday.
