Internship Fair
February 13, 2006
More than 58 percent of graduates who participate in an internship are offered full-time jobs before graduation, according to NIU’s Career Services.
The annual internship fair will take place Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the Convocation Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All majors are encouraged to come and talk to the 80 different employers attending.
“Employers like to know that students have looked up the company and have questions to ask,” said Diane Hart, employer relations specialist.
The internship fair is the perfect opportunity to gain information and make a good impression, Hart said.
Hart said being prepared equates to confidence and an overall better chance at getting the internship.
This year also will include a drawing every hour where students have the chance to win gift cards.
