“The Evil Dead”

By Chris Strupp

The best/worst horror/comedy of this or any generation belongs to B-list celebrity Bruce Campbell. Ash Williams (Campbell), travels to a cabin secluded in a wooded area with four of his friends. It is there the group of friends discover The Book of the Dead and a tape recorder. The tape is played and evil comes lurking out of the woodwork causing everyone besides Ash to turn evil. Ash then has the decision of whether or not to kill his friends or become unwillingly evil with them. Luckily, he chooses to kill everyone in his path. But watch out! Evil still lurks toward Ash because “Evil Dead II” was made in the late ‘80s. This movie gets its direction from famed “Spiderman” director Sam Raimi. Let’s just say it’s a good thing he has a career after making this intentionally laughable horror flick.
